A few days back a friend lent me his Lenovo Thinkcentre M93 for driver and screen issues. He mentioned BIOS changes and asked me to investigate. I made some extra adjustments that weren’t necessary, then saved and exited the PC. After a short delay it emitted two beeps. To try fixing it, I removed the CMOS battery for five minutes (also tried flipping it upside down), reset the CMOS with a jumper, took out all RAM sticks (causing different beeps), rearranged some, and disconnected the HDD. I also attempted to remove the GPU but applied too much force and damaged the clip. I read that two beeps indicated RAM or board failure, but since it’s a Lenovo model I doubt another motherboard would fit in this case. Neither my friend nor I had funds for new parts. Another error was taking out CMOS and other parts without an antistatic wristband, possibly risking static damage. What should I do? Sorry for the unclear English.

Several Lenovo models from this era work only with specific graphics cards.
