BIOS unavailable – system is running Linux now. [G580]
It occurred a while back. I installed Linux Mint on an older laptop with BIOS, and now I can't reach the system BIOS. I can only boot from the selected device, but the BIOS section isn’t visible. From what I understand, the issue stems from the UEFI installation process causing problems. I attempted to fix it by removing the hard drive to check for issues, but it still doesn’t work. The BIOS file was successfully re-flashed via USB, yet the Linux setup keeps failing and loading into Initramfs. I’m trying to restore the system to its original state, but the BIOS is corrupted and the installation is broken.
Not allowed to tell EFI to start in setup mode: operation not supported.
