You can check the SSD status by looking at the BIOS settings after booting up. If it's not visible there, try accessing the Windows Disk Management or Device Manager to see if the SSD appears. Make sure your BIOS is set up to recognize external drives properly. Your MSI GL63 8RC laptop should support multiple drives, but ensure the correct drivers are installed. If the issue persists, contact the manufacturer for further assistance.

The label indicating 'Windows Boot Manager' points to a WDC xxxx xxxx device, likely your SN570 SSD. This is the selection you should consider.

You can't start a system from a fully empty SSD with no boot manager. This explains why it doesn't appear in the BIOS boot options.

The storage drive is an HDD, not an SSD, which is why the SSD isn't displaying.

On your HP laptop, there is only a WD SSD drive and no traditional hard disk, yet it still boots. You can achieve the same setup on your laptop by using a similar external drive or SSD for storage and booting. Make sure it supports the same operating system and drivers.

It's possible the boot loader was placed on the incorrect storage device, this can occur occasionally. Remove all drives except the SSD and attempt to reinstall Windows. However, ensure no SATA-connected drives are attached to M.2 ports that share the same lanes before proceeding.
