Bios lists SSD information while Device Manager and Disk Management do not.
Hello! I added a 2To NVME SSD to my laptop a few months back. When I tried to boot up, the disk disappeared. I've looked into the issue and tried common solutions, but nothing seems to help. In disk management I don't see any space, hidden devices are grayed out as if unplugged, yet the drive appears in BIOS. I recently got an Asus TUF gaming laptop with a recent auto BIOS update. Anyone have suggestions on how to fix this? It's really frustrating. Thanks ahead!
Hello! The same problem has been happening since a week ago after the Windows update. It affected my two NVMe drives (not on the laptop). Removing the update fixed it at first, but later another update made it impossible to uninstall. Some people say it's beyond fixing, though they still work in safe mode, just not in full Windows. I'll keep monitoring this thread.
I just tried starting in safe mode but the disk isn't visible either.
Adjusted the BIOS settings from AHCI to RAID in my disk configuration, which somehow brought the disk back. I’m not sure what caused it, but it worked!
