I began a fresh installation with a 3700x in an MSI x570 gaming plus card. I encountered a CPU LED warning and no post, so I thought about updating the BIOS. It’s been flashing for more than ten minutes, but the instructions suggest it should finish within 1 to 2 minutes at most. Is this motherboard faulty or should I just wait?

I’d spend roughly half an hour, but if it keeps blinking afterward, it might be dead.

The bios for an X570 board should work with the 3000 series chips as-is, no updates needed.
