I'm facing issues with the Asus Prime X370 Pro BIOS resetting repeatedly. Time stays stuck after turning off power. Tested 3 CMOS batteries in two systems, but they don't affect my machine. No clear CMOS button, pins not connected, no jumper. Updated BIOS but same problems persist. Anyone help?

Your clock only refreshes when the computer is active. Type in the Bios, verify the time, power off, disconnect the PC from electricity, wait a bit, restart it, then go back to the Bios and confirm the time.

The worst scenario here is a problem with the RTC crystal or real-time clock. It functions similarly to the CMOS battery, maintaining accurate time even when the computer is off. If this is the case, the only solutions seem to be soldering or desoldering it, or replacing it entirely. In a wider context, if you've already replaced the battery, updated the BIOS, and it still doesn't work, the motherboard likely needs attention.

It only changes when power is active. Followed your advice and after turning on the system it was reinitialized, like a fresh start.

I was reading up on similar Posts where people with Asus z3xx or z5xx series boards too had cmos issues. One of them had a shop and came across a few of these boards pointing it out to a cmos controller issue. If that's the case then Asus had made some really shit boards.
