Many B450 models come equipped with the latest BIOS. If the seller didn’t simply request an update from the vendor or computer store, it’s likely the system already supports it. A sticker indicating "Ryzen 3000 ready" confirms compatibility with MSI Max boards that include Zen 2. For added confidence, choose a Tomahawk, Mortar, Pro VDH, or an A Pro Max (non-M) model—all of these ship with Zen 2 support.
Your current components include the B450 motherboard with Ryzen 3rd generation support now. Which model are you referring to? Also, by Christmas the Ryzen 4000 should be available, so if you don’t already have it, consider getting a 4000 instead of a 3000.
