You can assemble a gaming PC within a £150 budget, excluding the case. It won’t require the newest releases and can accommodate a good graphics card for future upgrades when funds permit.

Perhaps securing salvaged components could work.

Giving away used items can help you secure a better price.

The best approach is to opt for used items. You should aim to invest at least 350 dollars in a PC. This is because you might sometimes discover a X Box One S for 200 dollars that includes Battlefield 1.

It's achievable though it requires effort. I'd suggest searching for a refurbished or used prebuilt unit from HP or Dell, ensuring it includes at least a Sandy Bridge i3 or i5 processor and 4GB RAM (ideally 8). Aim for around £80. Use the remaining funds to purchase an RX 460, GTX 750 Ti or GTX 1050 that doesn't use a 6-pin connector to avoid compatibility issues with the prebuilt's power supply. If opting for a compact form factor, you'll need to install a half-slot graphics card, such as the 750 Tis.

Recently, I acquired a Dell Studio XPS 8100 paired with an i5-750, 6GB DDR3 RAM, and Windows 10 64-bit for 175 CAD. Earlier, I purchased a used Sapphire HD 7950 Dual-X for 65 CAD, and soon after, I bought a Corsair CX450M for 70 CAD. In the near future, I plan to add another 2-4GB of RAM and possibly an SSD (or at least a hard drive).
