Began playing this game recently and observed my FPS varies from others with similar configurations. I’m experiencing occasional drops to the 40s during high-intensity moments or when using med-low settings. Here are my details: GTX 1070 8GB (SC) i5 6600K (4.4Ghz OC) 16 GB RAM. People with similar specs usually achieve 90-120 FPS on ultra 1080p. I’m unsure why my setup isn’t performing the same. Maybe it’s time for upgraded hardware? Let me know!

Review your processor load; Battlefield titles are known for heavy CPU demands and can slow you down. I recall my old i5 4690k struggled with the GTX 1070 during CPU-intensive games like Witcher 3, so this might be a similar issue.

Ensure background tasks don't strain the system, especially with services like Discord.

Discord is turned off except for MSI Afterburner, but the issue persists.

The motherboard I own is at least three years old, possibly even older. Could this be the cause? Too much heat might have affected the dual channels.

That makes sense. CPU usage usually stays near the mid-80s during ultra settings, and the same applies to med-low configurations. It's pretty typical for most users.
