BF3 played really interesting with me, giving me a slow 3fps on my GTX 760.
I used to enjoy this game with my friend, consistently achieving over 80 frames per second. It's been roughly a month or two now, and whenever I jump in, I either experience crashes or get extremely slow—3 to 5 frames per second on my CPU at 80% load (FX 8350). The GPU runs at 1084, yet it's only using around 22% of its capacity. My other titles, like Blacklight Retribution and Sniper Elite, run smoothly, so this problem seems unusual.
Recent updates are still pending. I only encountered the same problems when an optimization feature was absent. The last issue was related to BFH beta.
Everyone has been using the newest drivers lately, but GFE handled everything for me. I removed the game files and reinstalled it, yet the issue still persists.
I'm using an FX 8350 and R9 280, but I still get around 10-20 frames per second. Even when I switch to low settings, it doesn't improve much. I suspect the issue is with the game itself, despite my drivers being updated. On some days I can play smoothly with ultra settings.
There hasn't been a recent update for BF3, and it seems EA might be pushing for new releases rather than encouraging purchases of older titles.
