Hello, your setup includes an i7-2600K with 16GB RAM, GTX 970 SLI. You're concerned it might bottleneck at ultra 1080p. Since you already have a GTX 970 Armor and your dad upgraded to another model, the performance should be solid. With around 100 FPS as a goal, it looks like you're in a good range for that resolution.

It could be that the 1080p settings are too demanding, the chip isn't the best yet, and higher resolution isn't making a difference.

It's not that significant. The 2600K remains a strong CPU capable of excellent performance. Regarding bottlenecks, high-end GPUs can limit speed, but you'll likely maintain over 100 fps. The result also varies based on your overclocking level.

Absolutely not. Given those specs and performance differences, it wouldn't hold up. The 6600K would struggle with lower-end chips like the 980 or 1070, and its speed advantage over older models is minimal. Being nearly five years old means it's outdated compared to modern hardware, especially when you factor in how far the 2600K was considered cutting-edge.

CPU improvements are happening much more slowly than before. GPUs, on the other hand, keep pushing technological boundaries at an incredible rate. Check out the video I shared.

You'll experience a similar performance as in BF4.
