I won’t purchase a new CPU unless I really need to, since I’m already struggling financially. I also prefer not to overclock it because the current performance is already sufficient, and I don’t want to risk damaging it.

Thanks for reaching out. I've already experimented with adjusting the scaling, but it's worsening the lag. It seems like spending more time fixing things isn't helping much. Considering it, I might just uninstall the game.

they reached around 65 max during playback of BF1. I might give it a shot someday, though many sources mention problems with Haswell CPUs (i5/i3) and BF1 overall for some reason.

It enjoys both threads and speed equally. I’d choose the i7-4770K if there aren’t other options that suit you better.
