7700 plus 1070 will definitely be the top choice.
The 7700k offers better clocks and overclocking, while the 7700 is a bit slower.

Don't mention the motherboard. If your setup uses a H or B 100/200 series chipset, skipping the K suffix processor won't help. For 100 series chipsets, the Skylake processor is necessary for BIOS updates and Kabylake parts. Be clear about what you're using.
