Balanced or High Performance would be the clear choices. If CPU usage and temperatures are elevated, consider switching your power plan to Power Saver to reduce it.

Balanced should not negatively affect performance in games. Its main role is to let the CPU operate at a lower clock speed when it isn't doing much to conserve power, yet it still enhances performance during high-demand tasks such as gaming.
