Hey, you're looking to stream Co-op PC games to your girlfriend's TV while using your gaming rig. The Steam link you considered might be outdated, so checking for newer streaming solutions like DirectX Live or using a modern game client could help. For controllers, popular options include the Razer Synapse-compatible models or the Logitech G Pro X series.

When devices share a space, a lengthy HDMI wire might seem impractical. Opting for a simpler solution often works best. Xbox One controllers offer Bluetooth support (especially recent models), provide good value when refurbished, feel solid, and are typically prioritized by developers during initial design.

The purpose of the steam link is to enhance performance. You might enjoy lower lag. HDMI cables are also worth mentioning. Essentially, with PC mode turned on, most TVs from the past 15 years support it, which helps reduce input delay—super important for smooth viewing.

They often sell long HDMI cables easily. Xbox controllers are really good. If they're expensive new, there are many second-hand options, especially custom controllers that can cost around $25 each if in decent condition.

I own a brand-new Xbox 360 controller that still functions perfectly. I purchased a dongle from Amazon, and it works smoothly without any problems. On the other hand, most wireless controllers cause significant trouble for me—like needing to use a phone charger with my DS4 controller since Windows won’t recognize it, and pairing is a major hassle. Whenever possible, I prefer wired controllers.

The Xbox One controllers function via USB using a standard micro USB cable, which means you can rely on them even if Bluetooth issues arise. Once connected, they work seamlessly without any problems. You simply have the choice between wired and wireless operation.

Sure, I also gave it an elite setting—it functioned well… except for the persistent stick drift and the lack of responsive buttons. Back to Razer V2, yeah.

Gamesir G7 (cabled) has been my go-to for a year now. I grab it and play right away. I don’t really recall holding the controller—it’s just dependable, straightforward, and performs well. It works across Steam, Epic, GOG, and the Xbox app.
