You expect Windows Backup and restore to refer to a "back up." That’s exactly what you need. If your backups match the size of your original files, you’re on the right track. System images are special backups made once, created manually. Backing up should happen automatically on a regular schedule.

It needs constant power connection, especially during scheduled backups, which could pose issues if a crypt virus strikes. You have the option to turn off the automatic feature and manage it manually if needed.
