I run on vmware. It can be costly if you have to purchase everything yourself, but in the end it works best.

This doesn't seem logical. You can assign resources according to your hardware needs. However, the paid version of VMware is the most suitable overall.

Focusing on VRAM and cores, 'power' refers to a broad concept. My virtual machines operate similarly to a 2003 Dell laptop. Even with maximum resources, performance remains poor. I thought the issue was related to resource limits.

The VRAM restriction applies only to 2D graphics. When 3D acceleration is enabled, VRAM usage isn't limited. VMware might produce improved performance, so consider it; but it won't fix hardware overload.
