Best time configuration for your new setup
Hey there. I just finished assembling this setup and haven’t tweaked it much—especially when it comes to clock speeds or similar settings. I think the lag and stuttering you’re seeing in games like Call of Duty and Doom Eternal might be linked to that. I’m hoping someone can offer advice or suggestions. So far, I’ve enabled D.O.C.P. for RAM and activated OC Mode in Asus Tweak. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks ahead!
Initially, let your computer recover after installing the operating system. The file structure is reorganizing and reshaping, applications are updating quietly, drivers are verifying the newest versions, and similar processes are underway. A lot of activity is happening right now. Next, understand what’s going on behind the scenes. Thirdly, owning a high-end machine doesn’t guarantee optimal performance for every game, particularly AAA titles that offer settings for casual play. Even if you’re impressed, don’t expect maximum settings to run everything perfectly—adjusting settings like anti-aliasing from X16 to X8 can significantly ease the load on your GPU. Likewise, lower multipliers such as x4, x8, and x16 should be reduced. EDIT: Also consider whether you’re targeting 170 Hz; FPS is just a measure. If a game feels smooth but only delivers 34 or 40 frames per second, it’s usually fine. But if you’re seeing only 15 or 20 FPS, lower your settings while keeping your resolution intact.
I often reduce my RAM speed and increase its voltage by 5% when using four drives. Everything else appears fine. I rarely rely on built-in enhancements such as "Performance enhancer." I tend to keep settings at default unless I'm working with a fourth-generation processor.
