Best psu for me
Best psu for me
I'm setting up a budget gaming system and am unsure which PSU to choose. I was considering an evga 600 gaming 100-w1-0600-k3 but haven't confirmed if it suits my requirements. The equipment I've got so far includes:
Mobo: msi 970 gaming
CPU: fx8350
Cooler: Noctua NH-D14
Graphics: xfx rx480 rs 4gb
HDDs: 240gb ssd, 1th hdd
Standard ATX case with two large fans; I intend to add two more later.
I plan a slight overclock and will mainly play esports titles like Bf1 and Call of Duty.
Could anyone suggest a suitable option without overspending, around £50?
Appreciate it!
I own a Corsair RMx 850, a newer PSU that performs exceptionally well and operates very quietly. It’s a bit expensive, but you can find one for $80 at Newegg with 650W capacity, which is more than sufficient. EVGA also offers good options for budget builds. Steer clear of the Corsair CX series—they have significant coil whine problems.
P.S. The PSU is the only component in your build that shouldn’t be cut corners on, as a failure could cause major issues.
Evga super novas are quite favored by cost-conscious builders. Take a look at this one offering a 750 watt rating that fits your needs.

I own a Corsair RMx 850 personally, one of their newer power supplies. It performs very well and operates extremely quietly—no problems at all. I’m currently using a RMA100i for my setup. My previous rig had a 750W PSU costing about $150; switching to an 850W one six years ago would have saved me that amount.
