Searching for an 11th generation i9 CPU that fits a build I've been working on for three years. Heard they're no longer available, so it's time to upgrade the motherboard.

It wasn't available on Amazon. Did you even try searching for it?

They actually exist but aren't worth purchasing. The 11th generation was terrible. Core counts were low and it overheated too much for minimal performance improvement. The 12th and 13th generations are significantly better, and the advice to upgrade to a new motherboard was accurate. If you're stuck with the 11th gen, consider checking eBay or local hardware swaps for a used unit—used CPUs work just fine and it's not worth spending on a new one.

They're still around, but they don't justify the cost. The 11th generation was notorious for its poor performance and low clock speeds. The 11700K and 11900K models were particularly problematic—powerful but slow, making them a poor investment.

eBay offers great used choices. I suggest a 10th or 11th generation i7 instead of an i9, as the performance gap is minimal.
