Oh. Transistor is a great triple A indie experience (that sounds weird) that can run on almost anything. Stunning visuals, with engaging yet creative combat, surprisingly great soundtrack and an intimate story. One of the few games I marathoned. It was TB's game of the year I believe.

Look into ShadowMan, it's available on Steam too. One of the top games I've ever enjoyed. Also give a shot to Crusader of Might and Magic (I haven't played that in over ten years but I really liked it), Half-Life, Kiss: Psycho Circus, Roller Coaster Tycoon, Counter-Strike, Age of Empires II: HD Edition, and Soldier of Fortune. These are some late '90s to early 2000s titles. Notably, CS 1.6 and Age of Empires HD have a big following on Steam—you can also explore Sims.
