Searching for a fresh motherboard feels like choosing between low-quality options or premium brands—both have their downsides. Need some recommendations? Thanks!

It's unclear what you need from an outdated platform. Your preferences will vary based on CPU choice, budget, and location.

There are no new choices available, so the optimal option is based on what's currently available in the used market.

It's an outdated system no longer supported. The top CPU that fits will likely be quickly surpassed by newer, more efficient models. Spending money here is pointless—better invest in something current.

They're inexpensive on eBay. I won't be searching for those boards in new condition.

Ninjitsu is accurate, these models are no longer produced. If you're searching for a genuine "Brand New" unit, it's unlikely to succeed—this isn't happening. For your query, focus on any Z77 chipped board available. Prominent examples include the Z77 Sabertooth, Maximus V Extreme, Maximus V Formula, and Maximus V Gene, all manufactured by Asus. ASRock offers a few in their "Extreme" lineup, such as the Fatality series (though not necessarily top-tier), but the highest-rated is the Z77 OC Formula on their 155 board. Good luck locating one and purchasing it—currently it's not for sale. Gigabyte also has some options, and MSI produced a few as well, though I can't name specific models without more details. A Z75 or P67/P68 chipped board would also work, but Z boards are preferred due to their superior PCI lane configuration.

I have an ASRock Z77 Extreme 3 left in its original packaging. I might be tempted to list it for sale Big Grin
