With Windows 10, putting drivers in before a full update and then applying the update can cause issues. I ended up installing Windows 10 twice on the very first day.

I just came back to update the post. I purchased a Samsung Evo 970 Plus with a 500GB M.2 NVMe card using the Samsung clone tool—it worked perfectly. However, the problem persisted, indicating it was a Windows issue rather than the drive itself. After reinstalling Windows on the new Samsung drive, everything was resolved. Smile

The behavior of Windows 10 with drivers can be quite inconsistent. It might have been linked to the SSD, or maybe the game is repeatedly requesting fresh data from it, causing a performance hiccup.
