Hey everyone. I received an AsRock X570 Phantom Gaming X motherboard from the New Age Gaming LAN in Johannesburg at the ticket pro dome for free. I’m wondering if I should opt for a 6-core or 8-core AMD Ryzen CPU. Processing speed isn’t a big concern for me. For memory, I was thinking 8 GB or 16 GB—what’s the best RAM choice? And which brand of RAM do you recommend?

seeking a 2*8GB 3200mhz CL16 memory option. It seems you're thinking of the Zen 2 series, likely considering the 3600 or 3700X models.

The Phantom Gaming X is a top-tier board. If you chose a processor, go for models from the 3700X to 3950X range. Since it came free, pick any Ryzen 3xxx you can afford and pair it with at least two 8GB RAM sticks rated around 3000Mhz. You can always upgrade later.
