Best Cooling for my Cpu
Best Cooling for my Cpu
I recently assembled a new PC and am considering an upgrade for my CPU cooler to enhance overclocking. I currently use an i7-5820k with a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO in a Corsair 750D case. I’m evaluating whether to switch to a better air cooler or a liquid CPU cooler. I’m thinking about Corsair H110 or Noctua NH-D15. Which option would give the best performance at a lower cost? Also, I have a friend who’d be happy to buy my old cooler if I replace it.
Additionally, I need to think about whether investing in a better graphics card would be more beneficial than improving cooling. I have a GTX 580 and might prefer upgrading that instead.
Save up for a nice GPU. 212 EVO is a good option. Keep it for now and after upgrading to a GPU, get an NH-D15.

I just got a new PC and am considering improving my cooler to better overclock my CPU. Right now I have an i7-5820k and a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO. My case is a Corsair 750D. I’m not planning to install a custom water loop, so I’m looking into either a better air cooler or a liquid CPU cooler. Should this upgrade be worthwhile? I’m thinking about either a Corsair H110 or the Noctua NH-D15. Which one would give the best performance at a lower cost? Neither seems too bad, right? Also, I have a friend who’s willing to buy my old cooler if I replace it.
Another thing to think about is whether I should invest this money in a better graphics card or cooling system. I currently have a GTX 580, so maybe it’s better to upgrade the GPU instead.
You should definitely focus on upgrading your CPU cooler first. I recommend the Corsair H110i GTX, because you won’t be able to upgrade your GPU with the money you have for good AIO CPU coolers.
