Yes, I understand there are many budget PSU forums, but I need some guidance. What would be the best PSU for me within a budget of 100$, and can an 80$ option work for 700W without overheating after just two minutes of use? Also, is purchasing used power supplies a significant risk?

You don't necessarily require 700W unless you're making a significant GPU upgrade.
PCPartPicker Part List
Power Supply: Thermaltake Toughpower GX2 600 W 80+ Gold Certified ATX Power Supply ($66.98 @ Amazon)
Total: $66.98
Shipping, taxes, and available discounts are included in the price

With this setup, you should be adequate. The main concern with Raidmax was its build quality, not its power output.
If you're thinking of major upgrades that will rely on the PSU you purchase, opt for the model linked above or consider an RMx 750 for a bigger jump.

You rarely find reliable PSUs of 700W or more for $80 without a major deal. Long-term supply issues and persistent inflation have affected prices. What cost $80 in 2018 would be around $96 today.

I aim to stay under $100 and though it might seem unreal, I’m curious if $80 can provide something useful. Would a 700W unit be enough for something that lasts two minutes without exploding? What kind of power supply are you thinking about? You should know that a reliable PSU protects all connected parts—if it fails, it won’t affect other components. If you have the exact specs in your account’s signature space, include them so we can keep the discussion relevant. This is why I added them; changes there could make this thread less useful.

Where are you from and where do you usually buy?

My current configuration isn’t clear to me; I’m unsure if I require less or more power supply because I previously had a Raidmax PSU that caused crashes after three years, and I’ve recently discovered Raidmax makes poor PSUs. I really don’t know what’s needed right now.
