Bent Pins on LGA1155 motherboard
Bent Pins on LGA1155 motherboard
Hi there, I was testing my server with an LGA1155 socket. While working, I accidentally hit the socket with the cooling fan, causing some pin bends. I marked the obvious bends in red and potential issues in green as shown in the image "IMG_0427.jpg". The system still boots and powers on, but there’s no video output. I also dropped the CPU earlier, which might have led to a crack in the integrated heat spreader. Could you help explain what’s happening? Thanks! P.S. If this should go into troubleshooting instead of the right category, let me know and I’ll move it.
This setup seems to target the VCCAXG and VSS pins. Keep in mind, the AXG and VSS are likely connected together as grounds for the graphics core. This configuration might explain why it isn't functioning. The provided pinout can help identify other components you may have connected. I successfully released every pin, so everything is working now.
