I understand your concern about bent or damaged CPU socket pins. It’s possible they could affect functionality, but regarding heat buildup—can the pins cause a CPU core to overheat?—that’s less likely unless there’s significant damage or poor contact.

The only explanation I had was that a specific part handling heat data wasn’t letting fans increase speed any longer.

Alternatively, it could be due to a power delivery pin becoming shorted to ground, causing localized heating near a core area. This might lead to more severe issues if not addressed properly.
