Hey, I built a new system with a 13700k and haven’t tested if the CPU can warp. For an antibend bracket similar to those on Amazon, you’d likely need to take out the old cooler, remove the old socket, install the new one, and reapply the paste. Worth it depends on your needs—just make sure you follow the instructions carefully. Thanks!

It eases the temperature noticeably, around 7-8°C with a custom water loop. With a less flat setup like a Noctua cooler, the gain is smaller but still useful. It's generally worth considering, though the benefit varies based on your specific use case.

I wouldn't disassemble your build unless necessary. Your CPU bent recently—consider checking for stress or improper installation before proceeding. Temperatures seem normal, but ensure everything is secure.

One of those AIOS models should fit right in the middle, which means I can expect around a 5C boost across all main tasks. I might go through the installation process to get it working (I already have one installed), but I’m someone who enjoys digging into computers rather than just using them. That said, I’m not impartial on this topic. In reality, the device will have been slightly stressed during the two weeks—though since the stiffening in the 13th/14th generation has reduced the amount of bending compared to a 12th-gen chip, it shouldn’t cause major issues long-term.

I'm in the same place too, enjoying getting close to the PC. But I know it won't bend in two weeks, right? So I'll go ahead and install it tomorrow.

The processors begin to deform right away, but this issue shouldn't impact you much over the next two weeks. It isn't clearly visible on chips from the 13th/14th generation, though a 12th generation model might show something noticeable when placed against a straight surface.

Maybe I'll swap the CPU for a fresh one...

It's still very minor, and the contact frame should cover most of the issue. The chip was placed on a regular board for a couple of weeks and is working well with its contact frame.
