Benchmarks?
I recently upgraded my CPU to a 3900x to maximize performance on my 1080 ti. Naturally, I checked benchmarks to ensure I was getting good value. Unfortunately, I didn’t. According to this site, I should be achieving around 101 fps as the minimum at ultra settings for my 1080p configuration. I do manage to hit 54 in the Ancient Forest during battles with monsters, especially when using the HD Texture pack. I’m not sure if this is due to luck or if my components are being throttled. Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated, and thank you ahead for your help!
These scores are somewhat unclear without more information. They merely display resolution and quality settings. They don't indicate the testing location, actions taken, or any specific details. It's possible they simply identified a satisfactory result without proper context.
Using aggregating sites isn't advisable either, as they often lack meaningful context. They're better suited for rough approximations rather than precise expectations.
The website is not trustworthy; the FPS values are determined by the server and not verified by people. Also, nowadays 8 cores often outperform 12 cores in gaming. You should run a proper benchmark such as Unigine superposition.
To a certain extent they might display this, but they could cause concern among others if they aren’t receiving the same or better results in a benchmark score where there’s truly no point.
Bloatware can cause scores to fluctuate wildly, with steam, browser, and any software being able to do the same.
