I'm testing my new CPU and motherboard right now. Will it run without a fan yet? I’m keeping the stock AMD cooler for later since I’ll be taking apart everything and traveling. Need a fan just to see if it works?

It's similar to operating your vehicle without coolant. It will function briefly before stopping. I advise against starting it without a heatsink. Just a quick question.

Some people confuse fan and heatsink. Do you want to run it without a heatsink? If yes, then please don't.

Lightly apply a small amount of paste, secure it firmly, and inspect. After a few seconds, avoid leaving the heat spreader unattended. Simply attach a cooler heatsink and fan with a bit of paste, ensuring it stays flat without clamping.
