Hello, I just changed my Unstable 9900KF to a stable 9900K. Previously, it operated at 4.8 for 1.24 Vcore, but now the new model runs at 5Ghz for 1.25V stable. I ran an hour-long benchmark and everything worked fine. I understand firestrike isn't ideal for older generations, but it gives me a reference point. I'm puzzled as my Firestrike score seems much lower than when using a less clocked CPU. I was told the different NVIDIA drivers and the recent Windows update could be factors. Also, my CPU microcode (C6) is quite up-to-date, which might affect performance at higher speeds compared to the older 9900KF. The updated drivers and system settings seem to help, but why does this happen? Any insights would be appreciated.
