I recently upgraded my CPU cooler to improve performance, and I have some concerns about stability. I understand you should perform stress tests to check for issues, but I’m curious—what happens if it crashes? Does it automatically restart, do you need to return to BIOS and reset settings, or is there a way to fix the crash? I haven’t started yet, so I want to address these questions before diving in.
It lets you access the BIOS to make adjustments without repeatedly restarting.
Yes, it can happen. Sometimes the system powers on and off a few times before booting into BIOS, after which settings reset. It seems to vary by motherboard. Could you share your specifications?
Make sure you're in a good state, it will restart automatically then you can tweak and attempt again
I made several adjustments in the past half hour. I’m using 4000mhz and 1.3 volts. Running cinebench multiple times improved my score by 120 points. Temperatures reached 70°C during peak runs. Should I keep it or reduce the voltage? It was at 3400mhz stock.
Reduce the voltage slightly and observe the effect. Then check if 70°C still works.
I'm sitting there at about 37 degrees, Chrome running and Spotify playing.
