Hello, I'm using an AMD FX-8370 on an ASUS M5 A97 R2.0 with a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO cooler. I'm planning some basic overclocking and want stable results. Everything seems to be running at default speeds for the CPU, bus, and other components. I've heard this board has weak VRM connections, so that might be a limiting factor. I'm open to sharing more details if needed. I'm completely new to overclocking, and this is my first board where I can actually try it. Thanks.

Run a few stress tests on the CPU running at its standard speed initially just to ensure everything functions properly. Your motherboard has been reported to have problems with 125w CPUs at stock speed. You might be fine, but avoid attempting overclocking unless the standard speeds remain stable.

Yeah, I saw something about that. I've been using the system for a month or so now, and everything looks fine in the hood. But if I run heavy loads for a few hours tonight, I'll make sure to be careful. I might avoid overclocking because of this.

If your mobo isn't the LE version, try this guide.
