I'm not sure if I should share this in the main thread or the GPU section. The issue started after setting up another monitor as a secondary display over DP. Once I switched back to the TV and unplugged the second one, screen tearing appeared on my desktop with overexposed colors, like a fake reshade effect. I'm not certain if this was the cause, but nothing else changed beforehand. The problem seems linked to the displays—one was 4K60 and the other 1440p75Hz. I don’t have a clear photo of the original setup, and the issue is subtle yet noticeable. Brightness increases beyond normal levels, colors clip, and even desktop icons show distortion. There’s also a random shift in color or contrast, sometimes changing unexpectedly. When playing HDR games, the “shift” makes HDR look purple or causes blacks to flatten with banding. I’ve experienced screen tearing while scrolling on websites without hardware acceleration, which I usually disable. I’ve reinstalled drivers with DDU and tried a different HDMI cable, but the problems continue. Did your GPU suddenly fail?
