Hey, I just completed setting up this new rig: B550 Aorus Elite V2, Ryzen 5700G, 2x 16GB DDR4 3600MT (GSkill), and Philips Brilliance 328B Monitor (1440p). When connecting the MB via HDMI, the PC starts up smoothly. Using DP instead of HDMI triggers beeps during POST. I’m unsure if it’s a 1 long + 2 shorts issue or a 1 long + 3 shorts problem (memory failure). After that, everything boots and runs normally. Could this be related to RAM or the iGPU? Should I expect the same beeps with HDMI if there were any RAM or memory issues? Also, I built the same setup but used a DELL 4K monitor—no problems with DP. Could the MB be slightly damaged on this rig causing the POST beep? Thanks in advance for your advice. Best, -a-

It starts up smoothly and works as intended? I recommend staying clear of any adjustments. Several people have damaged their parts while attempting to resolve minor issues.

Have you encountered regenerative electronics? To really diagnose and fix the issue, examine the differences between the problematic situation and the ideal one. Try connecting it to a DP-to-HDMI adapter on the screen. If the issue remains, the problem likely lies with the monitor's DP input—consider opening the case and using a soldering iron or simply keep the converter connected.
