Beep pattern detected GPU updated successfully RTX 3080 MSI Ventus OC installed
Hello, today my RTX 3080 arrived and I installed it. Once I powered on the PC, I heard three short beeps, followed by the standard single beep. After that, the system usually boots into Windows. I assumed the problem might be related to drivers, so I recently updated the GPU drivers after the first beep. I tested several games and didn’t encounter any crashes. I tried Control in 4K Ultra with all RTX options enabled (excluding DLSS) and achieved the same frame rates shown in YouTube videos. Then I used an AC Odyssey power supply and also didn’t experience any issues. After testing the games, I decided to restart the PC to check if the beeps persisted. Yes, they did—three short beeps again. I searched online and found a link about a basic memory 64K address check error: reseat the memory. The audio file is here: https://sndup.net/9zf4. It seems the problem might be with the RAM, not the GPU. The GPU is connected via two separate cables from the PSU (no daisy chain), and the sounds aren’t present during gameplay. The audio file also mentions a possible DAC issue. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. Full specs: CPU i7-8700 (non-K, 4.3 GHz), RAM HyperX Predator RGB 16GB (2x8, 3200MHz), Mobo Gigabyte Z370P, PSU Corsair TX650M, operating at 80+ Gold.
You're experiencing a power deficit of around 100W for your GPU. Would you like suggestions for alternative power supplies?

Yes, all your RAM is being recognized when you start Windows.
This approach works well for me. I generally turn off CSM in fresh builds unless compatibility is a top priority.
The three beeps suggest an issue with the system memory. It might be incorrect, but it could be worth checking. Please let me know if you'd like to try another approach.
