Uncertain about whether a bios update is required before installing the CPU, but it appears to function properly on that device.
Checked if the temperatures and power performance are acceptable for a Ryzen 5. Looking for any user reports or test results.
Everyone suggesting choose one of five expensive options, since the rest aren’t worth it. How terrible at $100 if you’re not involved? I’m really confused.
The motherboard isn't the main concern for the 3600x; the Ryzen 3rd generation doesn't overclock much. Unless you rely solely on it for heavy core tasks, it's better to let PBO handle the work once you locate a BIOS that suits and adjust limits accordingly. Still, for better quality in this price range, I prefer the Gigabyte B450m DS3H, though if you plan to upgrade later with a larger chip, the Tomahawk is worth considering.
I don't understand the boards you're talking about, so it's tough to say. But they likely have improved power supply units and a more solid build overall.
