Battlefield needs at least a 6600 k processor?
Some sources claim battlefield 1 needs at least an Intel i5 6600, while others say an i5 6400 is enough. This difference likely comes from how each reviewer tests performance, hardware specs, or game settings. It’s possible the i5 6400 still handles the game well for many players, but higher-end systems offer smoother experiences.
It favors threads and cores which is why the 8350 works well. Users face problems even with a 6600k due to challenges maintaining performance while handling game activity and CPU demands, particularly in multiplayer settings.
An i5 works just fine for the game. However, considering DX12 and the overall design, it can handle more cores and still perform adequately. The minimum recommended is quite low, though some video card options might not be ideal. Since the i5 is acceptable, it runs but an i7 would likely offer better performance.
Just because it says minimum doesn’t mean you need it to work. A basic i3/pentium or even a celeron can handle low settings.
It seems some games are increasingly reliant on the CPU lately. I've noticed the Witcher 3 stutters and freezes in cities because my 2500k struggles to keep up. I know my CPU is old, but it hasn't gotten that far since the Sandy Bridge era.
It was just the lowest required settings for the game. I even turned off background applications, but it didn’t make a big difference.
Check the frame rates in the lower-right corner. The i7 runs smoothly, while the i5 causes jitter and stuttering.
I noticed my 3570K has been running well for over a year, but a modest overclock could improve performance noticeably, especially in certain games. Reflect on the claimed 30% boost compared to Sandy or Ivy—this could mean a significant jump in FPS. Even if the numbers don’t always add up that way with games, those small gains can accumulate and make a real difference.
