Battlefield Hardline seems utterly unrealistic and amusing at the same time. As a dedicated Battlefield player, I’ve spent over 400 hours in the series, yet this feels like a complete letdown. The animations are far worse than Half-life 2, and the trailers look even less impressive than the actual titles. I was so disappointed in the beta that I barely played it. They’re making changes, but it’s hard to believe they’re improving this. The new "Hotwire" mode is just uninspired and dull. Why do law enforcement characters panic and switch to RPGs when someone hits a car with a bat? It’s frustrating. The game feels like it’s shifting toward a Breaking Bad vibe, but it ends up being just running and shooting. The graphics and animation quality are appalling. Most importantly, it bothers me that we’re creating a game centered around heavily armed police, which feels disrespectful. This is why I’m upset—I genuinely love Battlefield!
