current specs: i9-12900ks boosted to 5.3ghz across all cores. Msi rtx 4090 with 32gb ddr4 at 3600mhz. Running 4k at top settings except for motion blur and ray tracing. Removed the FPS limiter (previously capped at 200 fps), but GPU usage stays around 75%. CPU utilization is about 50%, which is fine. I saw a video online showing someone who disabled the limiter using a 5800x3d card, achieving 100% usage with an average of 210 fps. In my setup, I get 175-180 fps mainly because the GPU isn’t pushed to its limit. Ddr4 memory accounts for only about 3% loss, which is much lower than the 25% I usually see. Recent games let me max the 4090 without issues. Any explanation? UPDATE: In some maps with heavy snow, the GPU hits over 90% usage and reaches near maximum, averaging 220 fps. Still puzzled—shouldn’t they be lighter then more CPU-heavy?

Battlefield games usually require more CPU power. I often found my GPU handling only 30-50% of its capacity, while the CPU worked at 70-90%. That’s typical for these types of games.
