Hello, I'm not sure if others are facing the same issue, but I've been unable to play Battlefield 4 for about a week and a half. Whenever I join a server, I keep seeing this message: 'ERROR Game disconnected: Client closed down connection. Check your network connection and make sure that port 3659 (UDP) is open.' I tried opening the port but nothing changed, and the same error persists. It's really frustrating since I paid for the game. I checked online and saw others having the same problem, but no solutions seem to work. My question is, have anyone managed to fix this issue? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

You can manually open the port using the provided link on Microsoft's site. Alternatively, set your router to redirect traffic to a different port.

Open your NIC card settings and set a fixed IP or DNS server. It should resolve the issue. This method helped me before.

Where exactly should I link my NIC to a fixed IP address?

Refer to the instructions closely—they are very straightforward. The link provided offers a clear step-by-step process.

Turning off UPNP helped me, especially since I manually opened the port. Games such as Battlefield generally don’t support UPNP either, so keeping it disabled is my advice.
