Battlefield 4 is also known as Battlefront.
Battlefront offers a solid experience for Star Wars enthusiasts, though its original single-player campaign is no longer available. The gameplay lacks substantial content, and certain modes can become monotonous. Beyond the Rogue 1 expansion, there aren't many space battles to explore.
I’d choose the bf4 because it offers significantly more material and allows for longer sessions.
The solo player experience in earlier Battlefront titles functioned mainly as a bot mode. You engaged with multiplayer maps through standard rules and scoring, while bots handled the action, and there were brief voiceovers during loading phases. When examined closely, its campaign felt just as solid as the main gameplay of Battlefield 2 or 2142. This approach was entirely fine for players in the early 2000s. It's unlikely anyone recalled the campaign for Battlefront until after the announcement that Battlefront 2015 would lack it.
I really liked the singleplayer mode in Battlefront 2, especially because the Star Wars novels from that time are some of my favorites. The scenarios were tough, like the defense missions on Kashyyk that demanded careful planning. I also appreciated the space battles—feeling big, enjoyable, and varied enough to keep things interesting. Multiplayer space combat was the most exciting part for me. It seems DICE learned from this experience, which is why Rogue 1 DLC added space battles. If it helps, my top Star Wars title is Knights of the Old Republic, another game I love deeply. I think many of its strengths come through in its sequel and even the SWTOR MMO.
