I recently installed BF1 for the first time, and when I launch it I receive a warning: Battlefield 1 failed to start. Please fix your game setup and retry. I've tried turning off Discord and the origin overlay, running it as an admin, and checking the files via Steam, but nothing has resolved the issue. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have any other EA games that support mods?

Oh, and the Jedi: Fallen Order. I didn't remember that one.

Start by opening File Explorer.
Navigate to Documents, then Battlefield 1.
Access the Settings folder.
Transfer all files to a secure location (create a desktop folder). You may also copy and paste them elsewhere.
Disable your antivirus temporarily to test if the game launches. If unsuccessful, remove the bf1.exe file from the installation directory and attempt to repair the game. Once repaired, it should automatically reinstall the bf1.exe file and the game should function again.

Alternatively, check your installation path: default is C:\Program files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 1. Adjust if needed.
Proceed to the Installer folder, then to the vc folder, and finally to the vc2013 folder. Open the redist folder and install the two required files.

These folders aren't available to me. I purchased the game through Steam. I also attempted to turn off my antivirus, but that didn't help.

discussions on Reddit about Battlefront 2 mods affecting battlefield launching are common. People suggest using Frosty Fix as a workaround, though enabling mods might trigger actions from Punkbuster in online games.

there might be options to remove mods from battlefield 2 and switch to battlefield, but using frostyfix could result in being banned from online games.

I've also attempted a full reinstall of Battlefield 1 and removed the other origin games to rule out conflicts. Despite these efforts, the game still won't launch.
