Hi, Origin has just been updated and BF1 hasn’t been touched in over six months. I checked the menu for BF1, then settings, and saw the resolution is set to 1920x1080. My monitor shows 1920x1200, but the app only lets me go up to 1920x1080. There’s no aspect ratio option either. Any ideas on how to fix this?

The game appears in a fullscreen windowed mode, but when using a windowed view it restricts ratio adjustments. In fullscreen or fullscreen settings, the options are available. There might be an advanced setting that lets you modify aspect ratios; if this feature isn't visible or editable, it could simply be disabled rather than grayed out.

The interface is configured for full screen, and the Advanced settings do not include an aspect ratio choice.

Probably a simple, budgeted title designed to appeal to the average player. Few people stream at 16:10, so likely it wasn’t prioritized... Welcome to EA...

I've installed the latest NVIDIA driver but the game still freezes during menu loading. A black screen appears with a frozen loading icon in the top right corner. The issue recurs every time and I have to perform a full PC reset because nothing shows up on the black screen, making it impossible to close via Task Manager.

I completely cleared the NVIDIA drivers using DDU, then restarted and reinstalled them. Checked BF1 files through Origin—everything was present. After removing the BF1 settings file, the game loaded correctly in Windows mode. I opened settings, switched to fullscreen, and clicked Apply, but it crashed with the specified error.

I also keep a 16:10 monitor, and I’m even angrier when the developers push us to use 16:9 mode, which leaves us with black bars.

I deleted all BF1 configuration files and reinstalled the NVIDIA drivers, but it still launches when switching to fullscreen. I changed to Borderless Window mode, played for three minutes, then uninstalled the game. It feels less enjoyable now, and I’m not sure why I spent so much time trying to get it working.

My screen is 1680x1050 and apparently BF1 worked at native quality without any black bars. However, since I haven’t played it recently, I can’t confirm for sure.
