My Lenovo Gaming 3 laptop is having issues. It crashes and won’t turn on unless the power adapter is connected. Once it powers up, the battery percentage stays at zero and it keeps needing to be plugged in. This cycle repeats for about 7 to 10 days, after which the battery seems to fix itself for a short time but then drops again and starts the cycle over.

It seems the battery is holding up well. Your older MacBook Pro behaves similarly, though without the extended usage period.
