I own an Acer E5-576-37NL laptop purchased in 2019. The service center advised replacing the original battery, which is extremely difficult to locate due to its age. Even if they manage to obtain one, I should refrain from purchasing it because the genuine replacement would have deteriorated and lost its charge capacity over time.

The statement about a third-party battery being cheaper but with lower capacity seems correct. Other than that, my concerns about third-party batteries remain strong.

This is an unfortunate issue with laptops over time.
You could check sites like The Battery Guy and see if they have the proper one. I have had to use some of the off-brand batteries and more often than not they underperform. The price of them should not be discounted when you can buy several of them for the same price as the depleted old stock one.

But the battery guy isn’t serving in India😔; there are other third-party options available. However, I still have doubts about them since their "compatible batteries" differ in total charge capacity and voltage.

OEM could be slightly pricier, yet it ensures compatibility, whereas the so-called "compatible" alternatives are not as reliable.
