All the issues aside, I really want to try this game. It’s on PC, but it seems to block me from playing. I began with the highest possible settings and then lowered them gradually. I have a special water loop setup… after some problems it started acting strangely under pressure. Except when I play Arkham Knight. The obvious thing is that the game, judging by its temperature display, doesn’t seem to understand SLI configurations—it appears it’s trying to melt. Water cooling will raise temperatures to the low 90s. After adjusting the settings and still facing difficulties, I’ve stopped testing further out of concern about damaging the card (especially with 980Ti). It only happens with Arkham Knight, and everything runs at full power without issues. Any suggestions? I’m not sure where to begin.
It's a strange message, but it seems you're trying to run Arkham Knight with 2,980 Ti's in SLI. If that's accurate, you should disable SLI—it won't work and could actually slow things down. I've tested this on 4K resolution using Furious X, and it never exceeded 65°C even with a custom loop. If it doesn't help or you've already tried that, consider checking out older drivers. Reports suggest Nvidia has driver issues, so an updated one might resolve the problem.
There is a problem with the card affecting power levels. The game only uses the maximum power it can handle. Other factors might be influencing this.
Then it became clear why no other game or furmark could match what Arkham Knight accomplishes. Once I spotted the issue with Batman, I scrutinized every other title I played, closely monitoring temperatures and testing furmarks multiple times. Batman remains the sole challenge pushing my 980Ti to its limits.
