Recently I faced a problem with my external soundcard and needed to boot into Safe Mode for driver cleanup. When trying to enter Safe Mode, Windows would launch "Startup repair" and say it couldn't resolve the issue, then display repair options but never reached any Safe mode version. My system boots normally, and Windows functions correctly. A few weeks ago, after the release of Radeon drivers 21.2.1, using DDU made Safe Mode work again. I ran chkdsk /f, sfc, fixmbr/fixboot, but nothing resolved the problem. Search results didn't help much—they only mentioned difficulties entering Windows from Safe mode.
