Your motherboard supports dual channels with 16GB per channel. Adding two more 16GB RAM sticks in each channel would give you a total of 48GB, which is within the capacity limits. There should be no issues as long as the slots are compatible and properly seated.

It should operate as an Asynchronous Dual Channel setup. Issues won't arise unless your RAM module isn't compatible with your motherboard or processor.
